Ras Mohamed is a world-renowned National Park located at the southern extreme of the Sinai Peninsula, near the city of Sharm El-Sheikh.
The park covers 480 square kilometers of pristine shoreline and boasts exceptional coral reefs, recognized among the best in the world. In addition to its marine wonders, the inland area features a stunning diversity of mountains, valleys, and sand dunes.
ℹ️ Did you know? Ras Mohammed literally translates to “Mohammed’s Head” (where “head” refers to the cape or land peninsula). It was inaugurated in 1983 by the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency as a marine reservation to protect this unique ecosystem that houses thousands of aquatic species.
